Julie Roberts, MOT
Osteopath
Since the early 2000s Julie has been drawn to holistic health, nutrition and yogic practices for her own personal development and healing. She spent most of her early life in Calgary learning the big city ways and searching for the meaning of life through various forms of social justice, expressive arts and community. There unfolded a strong desire to be of service, to help and heal through the healing arts.
Julie has trained in a variety of modalities including Manual Osteopathic Therapy, massage therapy, fascial release, trigger point release, hot stone massage, yoga and yoga therapy, Ayurvedic dosha specific massage, and Reiki. In 2007 she graduated from the massage therapy program at Mount Royal College in Calgary and thereafter began studying Ayurveda and yoga, completing a 200 hour Hatha yoga training. Since moving to the Okanagan in 2008 Julie taught several styles of yoga, worked in health and wellness clinics and spas as well as taken numerous self development courses and training. At the end of 2022 she completed the year long MOT program with the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada, and is excited to be integrating the incredible techniques this holistic modality offers.
Julie is also passionate about movement, dance and flow arts, and is a professional fire dancer. Inspired by elements in nature and the magnificent BC landscape, she can be found on a beach soaking up the sun or in the mountains connecting with Earth energy.
